My main problem with the tower is just that it's inconsistent. They are without a doubt the most efficient tower for the amount of gold you put into them, and their DPS is both high and well-rounded. Fully upgraded Dark Knights are basically immortal, and can single-handedly stall the biggest enemies in the game forever.īone Flingers is a tower I've seen many people put at S-TIer, and maybe they should be there. Even with minimal gold investment, they can still wall most enemies for several seconds, and every level of gold investment into the tower rank and their upgrades are well worth it. What makes them A-tier is just that they're so good at being a wall that it ends up working on almost every map. They're basically a wall, and they're the best god damn wall in the game, but still just a wall. Their main weakness is that they're not self-sufficient. Even so, I must admit that they're not as good as Harassers. I run them on pretty much every map.Ī-Tier: Dark Knights, Bone flingers, Shadow Archers, Melting furnace.ĭark Knights is actually my personal favorite tower, and I use them in almost every single map. Their worst-case scenario is still good, but they ramp-up in strength so fast with just a single barracks supporting them. They do about as well as other mage-type towers versus small enemies, and they absolutely melt through big enemies like butter, while also not being particularly expensive. At first glance, you'd think it'd be super niche since it's all about sustained DPS on a single target, but in reality, their damage is so high it doesn't even matter. Their one weakness is that they're not great versus lone, enermous enemies like Frost giants, but aside from that they're stellar.īlazing gem is just simply good. They can often hold a path by themselves against weak early waves before you have time to put up more support. For one, they don't require the gold investment others do, since they're good already at rank 1, and they can be put into some really awkward spots where for example Deep Devil's Reef would just be useless.

Twilight Harassers fulfill the same purpose a few other towers do, of trying to combine blocking units with efficient DPS, but the harassers do it the best by far. Barracks problem is that they're not really good by themselves, they're just amplifiers for other towers, by letting them fire on enemies for longer. What makes Twilight Harassers is that they suffer none of the usual weaknesses Barrack towers do, while having all of the benefits.

Strap in bois, it's gonna be a long read. They might be good on, like, the one map where they're introduced, and then you forget about them and never use them again. No point in using them unless you have a VERY specific set-up in mind, and are therefore only good when the stars align.ĭ-Tier: There's no real point to them. Not bad per say, but not optimal in most cases, and only being good in some specific combos, or on some specific maps.Ĭ-Tier: Honestly, just subpar towers. They're self-sufficient, at least average even in the worst case scenario, and there is no map where they're bad.Ī-Tier: Good in most cases, might be tricky to use or overshadowed in some specific spots, but generally good.ī-Tier: Average towers. If I just randomly pick a map, a hero, and a random assortment of towers, how likely is it that a given tower is going to be useful? Using this logic, these are the tiers: There are several ways the pieces can be made to fit, and thereby several solutions to each puzzle, but the way I will be ranking this is by seeing how often a certain tower is useful. The towers are the pieces, and the building spots are the slots for the puzzle pieces. I view Kingdom rush basically as a puzzle game, where each map is a puzzle. (This is not a boast, this is a cry for help please give me a life.) I have several dozen hours with each game on steam. I have also done all of Vengeance on the veteran difficulty in both Iron and Heroic mode, and is currently in the process of doing so on impossible mode. I have done all of Kingdom rush one, including Iron and Heroic, on normal difficulty, and half of it on the Veteran difficulty (Didn't finish it mostly due to time).
#Puff pastry apple rose tart full
I have cleared all levels with full stars in both Origins and Frontiers, including Iron and heroic mode on the highest available difficulty. Of course, we have to do it in a tierlist tho.įirst tho, I wanna give you guys my merits so you know I'm not just talking out of my ass. I'm not looking to just throw out some rakings I like without any explanation, I wanna deep dive discuss the actual purpose of the individual towers. I've seen a lot of these kinds of posts around, but a lot of them don't go as deep into it as I want to do here.
